Despite being a new division within Prep Zone Academy, the IB training team consists of veteran trainers with thousands of training hours for standardised tests and school subjects under their belt.

Math, Chemistry

Abhishek graduated from the National University of Singapore with a major in Engineering Science and minor in Mathematics. He has 6 years of IB training experience and more than 4000 training hours under his belt.

Abhishek’s students benefit from his patient teaching style, and his innate ability to explain abstract and complicated concepts in a clear and simple manner. Under his supervision, students attain 2-3 points scale score on average.

Math, Physics, Economics

Narayani joined Prep Zone after completing her Bachelors of Science degree in Mathematical, Computational and Statistical Sciences with a minor in Economics from Yale-NUS College, Singapore. She has been tutoring various mathematics topics for over four years to students from secondary school to university level. One of her strong suits is her patience as she’s worked with many students with varying levels of ability in mathematics.


Christel graduated from the National University of Singapore as a scholar with an Honours in English Literature. Christel spent seven years as a debate coach and adjudicator for the national secondary school debating championships. Immediately prior to taking up her position with Prep Zone, Christel worked as a Language Specialist, teaching English at Chiang Mai University.

Theory of Knowledge (TOK)

A former college debater, Jessica holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the National University of Singapore, with a specialization in human behaviour and ethics. Before joining Prep Zone, she spent 5 years as a senior trainer with training and consulting company Rieink, where she designed and delivered workshops on leadership, communication, and job skills. Using her experience, Jessica has guided countless students on their Theory of Knowledge (TOK) essay and presentation, helping them score well in TOK.


Michelle is an experienced English Language Trainer. Prior to joining Prep Zone, Michelle taught in Inti International College, Malaysia. She has been teaching English to foreign learners for over ten years. Her background includes teaching Technical English, Writing Skills, Public Speaking, IELTS, TOEFL, IGCSE, IB and GCSE O/A-Level.

Computer Science

Mufizur graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2016. He is detail-oriented and highly adaptive professional with more than 3 years of experience in software development. During his senior year in NUS, Mufizur shouldered the responsibilities of being a teaching assistant for his Year 1 computer engineering juniors.

Mufizur is proficient in software topics such as (but not limited to) Java, object-oriented programming cybersecurity and database management. Coupled with his passion for knowledge and teaching, he always aims to adapt to his students’ diverse learning styles and strives to bring the best out in them.


Shruti graduated from SASTRA University with a Masters in Medical Nanotechnology. She then started working as a research assistant for Neuroscience research at Nanyang Technological University. She is a teacher’s assistant and a Biology tutor for university undergraduate students at NTU at the Department of Biological Sciences. 

Shruti is passionate about Biology and loves teaching students and help them get more interested in the subject. With her vast knowledge in Biology, Shruti has given guidance to many students with their Biology Internal Assessments (IA) and Extended Essays (EE).


Karyen is currently a lecturer, a counselling psychologist and a practitioner of applied neuropsychology. Prior to this, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Dayton, and a Masters of Science in Developmental Disorders and Clinical Practice (Psychology) from the University of York.

She has previously worked in a mental health care hospital in the United Kingdom, and as a researcher at National University of Singapore. Karyen is passionate about education and finds teaching a rewarding experience.
